Colorker renews and improves the quality of the data of its DAPcons® products for "porcelain stoneware" and "tile"

8-11-2021

Colorker was born in 1987 by a group of entrepreneurs from the ceramic industry, currently it has evolved and expanded its vision, becoming Colorker Group.

With the desire to maintain and expand their commitment to sustainability, they have expanded their commitment to the DAP of the products they manufacture in their production plants in Chilches (Castellón).

To prepare these reports, they have followed the UNE-EN 17160 product category rule for ceramic tiles. The fact of applying an international and specific product category rule has an objective improvement in the quality of the data included in them.

The registered DAPcons® are the following:

•      DAPcons®. NTe.100 of Porcelain (BIa), which includes different families of ceramic product from the BIa absorption group (formed by dry pressing with AA ≤0.5%).
•      DAPcons®. NTe.101 from Azulejo (BIII), which includes different families of ceramic products from the absorption Group BIII (formed by dry pressing with AA> 10%).
•      DAPcons®. NTe.102 for Porcelain (BIb), which includes different families of ceramic product from the Absorption Group BIb (formed by dry pressing with water absorption 0.5% <AA≤3%).

The company ReMa Ingeniería SL, an affiliated member of the DAPcons® Program, has been in charge of preparing this DAPcons®, subsequently verified by ITEC. It is valid until 10/21/2026 and, as already mentioned, is based on the UNE-EN 17160 Product category rules for ceramic tiles.

All these are Environmental Product Declarations "from cradle to cradle ", that is, the environmental impacts of the product are analysed considering the stage of manufacture, construction, use and end of life.

The DAPconstrucción® Program was born in 2008 with the aim of bringing together manufacturing companies that wish to advance in the analysis of the environmental impacts of their products and commit to environmental improvement.
