Soprema Group registers the DAPcons® NTe.003 for XPS extruded polystyrene sheet for thermal insulation

Soprema Group is a company that arises from the merger of Soprema Iberia, Asfaltex S.A. and Texsa System S.L.U. thus creating the world's leading group in waterproofing solutions with 73 factories, 90 subsidiaries and more than 4,000 distributors. In order to offer products that are increasingly lighter, more reliable and with less impact on their environments, they have registered the DAPcons® NTe.003.

The declared product is an “average product” that includes products for all types of solutions (roofs, walls, SATE, etc.) of the SOPRA XPS and TECH XPS commercial ranges, calculated as the weighted average of the 2018 production.

Of the raw materials used for its manufacture, it is worth highlighting the use of polystyrene pellets, mainly from fish market waste.

The ITeC company, an affiliated member of the DAPconstrucción® Program, was responsible for preparing these DAPcons® subsequently verified by ReMa Ingeniería SL. They are valid until January 2026 and are based on the Thermal Insulation Product Category Rules for products manufactured and formed in situ UNE-EN 16753.

This is an Environmental Product Declaration "from the cradle to the grave", that is, the environmental impacts of the product are analyzed taking into account the stage of manufacture, construction, use and end of life.

The DAPconstrucción® Program was born in 2008 with the aim of bringing together manufacturing companies that wish to advance in the analysis of the environmental impacts of their products and commit to environmental improvement.
