Adaptation to cold

In this episode, we see how the Eskimos managed to adapt to the Arctic climate using the few available resources they had. The main characteristic that the Eskimo buildings had to achieve was the protection against cold. Depending on the area, the main construction materials available were wood, soil or ice. Fuels were often very scarce, so the only way to achieve comfort was optimising the shape of the edifications and the use they made of them.
